Open Mat is an unstructured training session where students of all levels can come together to practice techniques, drill with partners, or spar at their own pace. Unlike formal classes, there is no guided instruction—students are encouraged to use this time to review material, ask questions, or get extra rounds of rolling in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Open Mat is ideal for:
Reviewing techniques from class
Getting extra drilling or sparring practice
Asking higher belts for tips and guidance
Building camaraderie with teammates
It’s a flexible training time to sharpen your game and enjoy learning with the community.
